2024–25
Appeared in 23 games off the bench for North Carolina, making her mark as a reliable perimeter threat. Hull showcased her shooting touch at N.C. A&T, knocking down a career-best four three-pointers while finishing with personal highs of 14 points and five rebounds. She also recorded a career-high two assists in the season opener against Charleston Southern. Hull connected on 14 total threes during the year and shot an efficient 38.9% from long range, averaging 2.6 points and 1.6 rebounds per game. She earned All-ACC Academic Team honors.
2023–24
Redshirted while recovering from a high school injury, preserving four years of eligibility.
High School
Starred at Zionsville Community High School, where she earned Indiana Miss Basketball and Indiana Gatorade Player of the Year honors as a senior. Graduated as the program’s all-time leading scorer after averaging 22.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per game and leading Zionsville to the sectional semifinals. Competed on the AAU circuit with the Nike Lady Gym Rats.
Personal
Born on June 5, 2005, in Zionsville, Indiana, Laila Hull is the daughter of Stacey and Lee Hull. Her father played football at Holy Cross and went on to compete in the CFL, while her older brother, Jordan, played football at Lafayette—making athletic excellence a family tradition.
Outside of basketball, Hull enjoys reading, exploring new music and foods, and watching her favorite shows. She lists SZA as her favorite artist, The Wizard of Oz as her favorite movie, and The Good Place as her favorite TV show. A loyal Baltimore Ravens fan, she sticks to a pregame routine of listening to relaxing music and taking a short nap. Hull describes herself as “versatile” and is motivated to make this season one of growth and success.
